In a major development, the CAA has decided to do away with the requirement of Sanitary Import Permit (SIP) for import of SPF shrimp broodstock from the overseas suppliers approved by the CAA. This move shall ease up the supply side constraints to import quality broodstock and shall help the farmers in getting quality seed in a timely manner.
